Reportage

This was in response to the reportage task we were given. I went to my favourite coffee shop to draw people but I found that I really dislike drawing people like that, it feels intrusive to stare so intently at someone and as the person isn't aware they're being drawn they would frequently move. While perfectly reasonable that people move about it would throw my drawing off as I can't sketch them fast enough before they've moved into a different position. I found distracted people easier to draw as their attention is focused elsewhere (most often their phone) and change their position a lot less. I would also write the occasional note in case something that someone said would be relevant but the people that would be chatting would be the same people that would be moving all the time.
